As we entered the event we were greeted by the kind-hearted ladies, Rachel Butler, Lisa Murphy and Blathnaid Prenter, three lovely Irish bloggers from Waterford. The event was in aid of Pieta House. The fashion and beauty charity event was in the foyer of Waterford Health Pharmacy; the perfect location if you ask me.
To start the morning of we were given a demo from Make Up Artist Sammy Stacey, which was lovely and really useful for those needing make up advice and to also pick up a few tips along the way. After Sammy Stacey was finished we were shown how to apply Easilocks extensions and were giving tips and advice on home care and as they say a lady can never have enough hair. I really enjoyed the super glamorous looks from the lovely Fiona from Easilocks.
After Fiona from Easilocks finished, we had the two ladies from Redlane boutique in Tramore, giving advice on what to wear to suit your shape and add or hide flaws with clothing, they were really funny and had us all laughing. Once Jane and Caroline from Redlane were finished we were educated on skincare by the lovely Tracey from Uriage and she kindly gave away two prizes on the day. The most important part of the day was Pieta House and the wonderful Michael from Pieta House (Waterford) was on hand to explain where the money goes and gave us an insight into the organisation a wonderful cause and I feel something that needs to be supported especially in Waterford.
After Michael was finished we had a break to enjoy scrumptious cupcakes(Rose Café) sandwiches, prosecco and non alcoholic beverages. For fun we had the lovely magic mirror from Sweets Events and they had great props to add a funky fun feel to your photos, which you could take home. During the break you could purchase a few raffle tickets and all proceeds went to Pieta House. The prizes (sponsored) were absolutely fantastic. The wonderful Louise from Tomitago was there who kindly sponsored one of the raffle prizes and had a beautiful display of products and offered all attendees 30% off her skin care line. We were all aware of DV8 and of course we were all trying to get the best picture for Instagram in order to win a dress of choice from DV8 clothing.
After our interval we had the ever so funny Marina Hayes from Confession Box, teaching the crowd the very popular style from cartoon character Jessica Rabbit on the beautiful model Amy Ahearne. Marina finished the event with a very chic hairstyle created with Hot Tools curl bar.
The event was so glamorous and decorated every so well from Fluer de Lis, Sweets Events and Cherub Couture Cakes. The ladies did an amazing day and it was absolutely brilliant, we were all treated to a very generous goodie bag when leaving.
