Makeup artists from all over the world make it seem so easy to have a perfect look, but no matter how hard you try you, just can’t get the same results. However, don’t stress because it really isn’t that hard as it appears. True, you may not be a professional makeup artist, but with some tricks you will be able to look like you just stepped out of Hollywood.

Prepare Your Face

Before you start applying makeup, you should y clean your skin properly. If you don’t do that, your face will look like it had tons of powder on it and it won’t have that natural, healthy glow. That’s why it’s very important to use a moisturizer – it will clean and refresh your face. Afterwards, mix the foundation with the moisturizer and start to apply it on your face. If you want it to be a bit thicker, you should add a bit of loose powder.

How Much Bronzer?

A bronzer gives that lovely glow to your face, but if you apply too much of it, you can turn out looking like you had been in a solarium for way too long. To avoid that, you should choose a bronzer in the same shade as your arms and chest and start applying it on your face step by step. Put it on your cheeks, forehead, chin and bridge of your nose. If you think that your neck is now way too pale, apply a bit of bronzer on it as well. One very important thing is that you should use a fuller brush.

Contours, Contours

It is time to learn that magical trick that every makeup artist uses, and that is to get simply perfect contour shades. Believe it or not, for this you will need a pressed powder that is three times darker than your face! Gently glide your brush under the cheekbones, blend it in, so it doesn’t look like you had some mud on your face, and that’s it!

Eyes are the mirror of the soul and therefore it is crucial that you pay the greatest attention to them. If you are among those ladies whose makeup gets smudged on eyelids during the day, then you can breathe a sigh of relief. The solution is very simple – make an eyeshadow primer you’re the concealer and pressed powder, and apply it on the eyelids.

Lashes are the decorations of every eye and they need some extra care. Every night, before you go to sleep, put a few drops of castor oil on your lashes. In the morning, after you washed your face, don’t reach for the eyeliner first! Instead, apply your favourite mascara for a dramatic look and once you accent your eyes with it, it will be easier to draw with eyeliner on the eyelids. Finally, it’s time to define your brows. Brush them up and fill all the empty areas with a pencil that is a bit lighter than your hair.

The next step is to find the right eyeshadow. In case you have small eyes, you should stay away from dark tones and your waterline. To make your eyes look wider, use a light colour in the inner corner. Afterwards, apply a nude pencil on the inner rims of your eyes. If you wish to have cat-eyes, just draw a small triangular point with the eyeliner on the inner corners. That trick accents your eyes in a very seductive and sexy way.

Lush Lips

During the winter every woman deals with dry lips. No matter how creamy your lipstick is, it will always look awful once you put it, but that problem ends now! Gently scrub your lips with a toothbrush on which you have previously put a bit of Vaseline. That way, you will remove all the dead cells from them. You can do it a few times a week. And now, its Majesty, the Lipstick. First, apply a lip liner in the colour of your lipstick and then use a lip brush to put on the lipstick. Kiss the tissue to get rid of the extra layers and then gently apply a bit of translucent powder.

During the hot summer days you don’t need a lot of lipstick and especially not in some bright colour. To make your lips look fuller, put on a bit of a clear shimmery lip balm, then add a shimmer lipstick and finish it all with a touch of clear lip gloss in the middle of your bottom lip.

Once you start using these tricks, you will be surprised how quickly they will become a routine to you. You will look like you are ready to pose for a cover of your favourite magazine. And who knows, you just might!
