Do you find it hard to budget your wedding? Not anymore

As one of the most important days in your life, your wedding day needs to be memorable, for the right reasons. Although for some this may mean finding the right venue, DJ, or scrumptious food for many it is about looking the part, after all it’s not every day you have a professional photographer waiting to take your picture.

Getting the look just how you want it can take a toll on your finances, and you may need a helping hand and that’s where companies such as Chill Money come in. Of course, you may not want to invest in the most expensive dress of all time, which costs €8.4 million, incrusted with diamonds and created for a bridal show, but the good news is you don’t have to apparently the average cost of a wedding dress is now €1,706.

Once your dress is sorted and tucked away ready for the big day, it’s time to start thinking about your hair. From the style to the accessories, everything costs a pretty penny, and this is perhaps the hardest thing to do yourself. However, it doesn’t stop at the bride’s hair what about the bridesmaids; flower girls and mother of the bride? They all need to look good too, and this could cost a few hundred euros.

Then comes the makeup, you may want to go simple just like Meghan Markle but this isn’t an easy look to achieve, investing in the correct skincare regime in order to ensure glowing skin is essential. A professional beautician could be just what you need, or if you’re looking for something more glam then a make-up artist is probably on the cards and on average, this costs €936.

It’s not all about the bride, the groomsmen’s suits are just as important, incorporating the colour scheme and adding a little personality to the day. Whether you hire or buy, it’s not going to be cheap so budgeting around 1,000 would be a good call.

Before planning your big day, take some time to budget, and remember to keep a little money aside for anything unexpected! If you have, any wedding tips share them using the hashtag #MatriMoney
